My Soliloquy.

When Chris Brown’s F.A.M.E. released, I knew it would win the Grammy for best R&B album and it did.

Don’t Ruin the Present by Worrying About the Future

I’ve been in college about 6 or 7 months and it has been wonderful.  When I entered college the concern for me was simply creating myself.  As soon as I came the only thing I heard was, “What’s your major?  What career are you looking into?  How are you going to pay off your loans?”  I became disgusted at everyone who kept saying these things.  It seems like the only small talk college students can make is, “What’s your major?”  I started off with the philosophy that life was a road and not a destination and I did what I could to preach it.  I began seeing everyone commit their days to volunteering, working, and networking.  I started seeing myself as a failure.  Thinking maybe my philosophy was wrong I began to crumble.  After a much insightful conversation with my adviser I rediscovered the whole point of my philosophy and more.  I don’t know what I want to do with my life and I don’t know what I want.  I can tell you this much though, at the end of my four years, I’ll have some sort of college degree, I’ll have some great friends, and some unforgettable memories.

Don’t forget to breathe,

Tosaka Thao

Yesterday my girlfriend and I went out to an Indian restaurant for dinner.  I had the lemonade and she had a strawberry shake.  I can never get tired of naan.  I swear there is something in that stuff, it’s so addicting.  Anyways, we had a great time.  I swear she is the single best thing to ever happen to me.

“When I was young I, too, had many dreams. Most of them came to be forgotten, but I see nothing in this to regret. For although recalling the past may make you happy, it may sometimes also make you lonely, and there is no point in clinging in spirit to lonely bygone days. However, my trouble is that I cannot forget completely, and these stories have resulted from what I have been unable to erase from my memory.” - Selected Stories of Lu Hsun
